...for the Military
UK Gear’s training shoes were originally designed in association with the Royal Army Physical Training Corps (RAPTC). These elite fitness professionals were closely involved in the development and tested our products in some of the most inhospitable conditions on Earth. I run and walk on concrete all day at work. I developed shin splints in both shins. I had orthotics made, wore shin sleeves, iced religiously, did every exercise I could find but nothing seemed to help. I purchased these in October, most of the shin pain was gone by December. They could breathe a little better, but then they probably wouldn't be as durable. Despite not breathing well they do not retain any odor. I have had these for 7 months now; most of the traction is still there, the lining along the heel is shredded, and one seam is beginning to come undone. It is time for a new pair of shoes and I will not even consider buying anything else but these.

I am 6'4, 220+ lbs and abosolutely love running, but prior knee injuries have limited my distance running. These shoes have eliviated the pain in my knees and has afforded me the ability to increase my mileage. Good buy if your a Foxtrot Alpha like me!

I have to disagree with Goose, I have had these shoes for quite some time now and have found them to be one of the best running shoes I have come across. They offer comfort, stability, cushioning, and ruggedness all in one package. I have put my XC-09’s through some pretty rough training and they have performed very well. They are not only tough, lightweight, and comfortable, three characteristics I demand from running shoes, but stylish as well. If you are looking for an amazing running shoe get a pair of the XC-09’s, you wont be disappointed.

I like the shoe for trail running. It felt real stable in the dirt. It also had traction. Didn't feel much slipping when going down hill. I would buy it again.

One of the worst shoes I have ever had the displeasure to run in. I guess the reason it hurts my feet so bad is because it was designed for the army and is supposed to be some kind of punishment for no ironing your shirt properly. Instead of installing dicipline in the army by the old "drop and give me 20" routine. They now get sent out for a 30min run in these bricks.
