...for the Military

UK Gear’s training shoes were originally designed in association with the Royal Army Physical Training Corps (RAPTC). These elite fitness professionals were closely involved in the development and tested our products in some of the most inhospitable conditions on Earth. Only when approved by the Military do we consider our products... Built to survive.

The British Army Physical Training Corp helped design this shoe to military specs and as a result it's designed to respond to rigorous trainming and demanding conditions. Its rugged and stiff feel is best for the heavy runner looking for a well-cushioned light control stability shoe good on or off road. Although not classified as a trail shoe, it responded better on trails than on roads. The medial support (side-to-side) worked well on uneven surfaces as did the extra cushioning when running on rocky trails. On the roads, the shoes was not flexible. The hook lacing system on the tongue makes it easy to adjust, but also easy to work its way loose. The open mesh on the uppers provides super breathability, even on the hottest days we tested it, abd the cushioned sole does minimize impact.

The unqiue Quadra-Flex and Torque-Control systems of this shoe give torsional support and durability. The midfoot support bridge gives adequate arch support and stability, reducing its flexibility slightly. On hot desert runs, the anti-microbial treatment inhibits bacteria growth and keeps them smelling pretty fresh.

Shoes come with 2 pairs of laces, round ones for fast on/off and oval ones for more grip. Out of the box comfort allows this shoe to go straight to the trails with thin socks and no blisters.
